Sarah started her career with McKinsey & Co, but rapidly realised her passion lay in working with SMEs rather than large multinationals. She has spent over 15 years in general corporate finance in the small and medium enterprise sector. Ten of those were spent working with companies in Dublin with Corporate Finance Ireland (now part of Duff & Phelps), and more recently in the UK working as an adviser to private equity firms and their portfolio companies with Liberty Corporate Finance, and to SMEs with Price Bailey.

She has worked on deals from under £10m to over £50m, and in sectors as diverse as financial compliance, veterinary services, restaurants, online services, media and manufacturing, and with a range of different private equity firms, including MML Capital, ECI Partners, Livingbridge, August Equity and Sovereign Capital.

Sarah has a first class degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from the University of Texas.

Outside work, Sarah can usually be found with her trainers on, pounding the streets. She has run many marathons and ultra-marathons including the Marathon Des Sables in Morocco, and the Jungle Marathon through the Brazilian rainforest. On a sunny day she can sometimes be found enjoying the more leisurely activity of a round of golf.

Rob started his career with Bird Luckin in Essex and qualified as AAT and ACCA in four years. He then spent ten years with Baker Tilly, two in audit, one year on secondment at Ford Credit Europe Bank, and the remaining seven years in the corporate finance team. He most recently spent five years in Price Bailey’s corporate finance team working with owners and managers across Essex, Hertfordshire and London.

Specialising in assisting owners and managers with their business growth and exit plans, Rob’s strength and passion lies in understanding what makes a business tick and working with people to help them achieve their goals. His experience is focused on mergers and acquisitions activity, management buy out assistance and business sales – helping to maximise exit proceeds for the shareholders and mitigate risks in acquisitions or MBOs.

Rob has worked on and completed a wide range of deals in a variety of sectors including human capital, facilities management, manufacturing, engineering, wholesale, logistics and warehousing, freight forwarding, online retail and property development.

Rob is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Outside work, Rob can be found in a snooker hall, on a golf course, watching football – or ideally holidaying with his better half in the sun.

Amie started her career with HW Fisher & Company; a top 25 UK chartered accountancy firm. She worked within the private client department and qualified as ATT during her time there. She was responsible for tax compliance matters for a large portfolio of clients.

A desire to work within the challenging world of corporate finance led to a career change. She spent four years at TTC, a London based corporate finance boutique working on a wide variety of deals mainly within real estate and infrastructure. After working on a deal for a husband and wife owner managed business, Amie realised that her passion lies within SMEs rather than large projects.

Amie is a member of the ATT and has completed Levels 1 and 2 of the CFA Programme. She also holds the Diploma in Corporate Finance jointly awarded by the CISI and ICAEW, and won the award for the highest achiever in the exams taken during 2022.

Outside work Amie can usually be found at a motocross track covered head to toe in mud. She has competed in various national championships since a young age and has raced across Europe in WMX Women’s World Motocross Grand Prix’s. On a more relaxing Sunday Amie can be found on the sofa cuddling her beloved bulldog named Boycie.

After graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first in Economics and Accountancy, Will joined the Corporate Finance team at Price Bailey, where he commenced and completed an ACA training contract.

During his first two years of experience, Will was involved in the full spectrum of corporate finance projects including acquisition support, MBOs, sale mandates, financial due diligence and valuation work. In the two years that followed, he specialised in supporting a number of growth capital investments by Private Equity houses into some of the fastest growing SMEs across London and East Anglia.

Will joined Forward in pursuit of a new challenge, with the desire to play a more hands-on role in transactions and a passion to support the growth of SMEs.

Will has a first class degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Sheffield and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Outside of work Will spends his free time following his beloved West Ham United and has a passion for music. Prior to his career in the world of finance, Will was a classical musician, performing with the Junior Trinity Symphony Orchestra in professional venues across the country.
