Forward Corporate Finance is delighted to announce the successful completion of the acquisition of Mushroom Man by S. Thorogood and Sons.
Thorogood, a 99 year old business headquartered in Essex, is a fruit and vegetable grower and wholesaler operating in Covent Garden, Spitalfields and Western International markets. The acquisition of Mushroom Man, a specialist mushroom supplier to many of London’s finest restaurants, gastropubs and bars, adds to Thorogood’s existing stable of brands.
The acquisition enables Michael Hyams, the majority owner of Mushroom Man to start a well-earned retirement. The business will continue to operate in the safe hands of Mark James and Nitin Sharma and retain its independence on the market. Furthermore, it will be supported by Classic Fresh Foods, previous acquisition Rushtons the Chef’s Greengrocers and Thorogood as part of the enlarged group.
