Top Result for Amie in CISI Exam

Huge congratulations to Amie Goodlad, associate at Forward Corporate Finance, for winning an award at the recent Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) awards ceremony for the highest score in the Level 6 Diploma in Corporate Finance (CF) exams.

Hosted by Huw Edwards, the ceremony was held at the impressive Mansion House in heart of the City London – a Grade I listed building which is the official residence of the Lord Mayor of London. Overall, it was a fantastic night celebrating and commending Amie, and all the award winners, for all their hard work in not only passing their exams, but absolutely smashing them!

The CF qualification represents the highest level of achievement in the corporate finance programmes jointly offered by the ICAEW and the CISI. The syllabus has been designed to develop core technical, commercial, and ethical skills and knowledge for those working in the field of corporate finance. Knowledge of fundamental techniques, theories and issues supports the handling of complex corporate finance scenarios. The syllabus includes sections dealing with the regulatory issues associated with a corporate finance transaction. It is relevant to those not only from an accounting background but also from banking, legal or consultancy backgrounds.

The qualification appealed to Amie because it is transaction-oriented and she was able to take a progressive path in completing them, starting with the Level 3 Certificate in Corporate Finance later progressing onto the Level 6 Diploma. Forward supported Amie in her studies by enlisting further study support through remote learning with CISI Accredited Training Partner BPP Professional Education.

Amie Goodlad, commented, “I am delighted that all the hours spent studying paid off in the end. Exams are never easy, especially when you are studying whilst working full time. The transaction-orientated nature of the CF exam and essay format really helped develop my skills and has added value to the services I provide to clients at Forward.

Sarah Moores, Director, added, “We are really proud of what Amie has achieved and glad we were able to support her in continuing her studies.

Rob Dukelow-Smith, Director, commented, “We are a small team so ensuring our staff have the right skills is a top priority. Amie is a core part of our team as we grow Forward.”

The mention of private equity often scares people off, but it covers a whole range of investor types, and is often mis-represented in the media. Private equity is often synonymous with taking advantage of distressed companies, or with highly leveraged buy outs. But there is another side.

The right strategic acquisition, well planned and well executed, can be an excellent way to make a step change towards growing your business. Organic growth is tough. However, an acquisition in the UK or abroad is no magic bullet either and needs to be carefully planned, executed and integrated.
